@mondosapore Pretty much. Much harder to mic a double bass than a guitar. Endurance more of a problem on tuba than bass. Less agile too.

@mondosapore There's no official date when the switch happened but by the mid-30's, there was more bass than tuba.

@mikelombardo no. That's just normal band stuff. I vote for making her play the Tuba instead of the bass next time she wants to play.
