Finally reading the W3C Primer for RDF - not that bad!

@rarepleasures they said they're in the process of changing the t&c to an attribution license. They seem keen to publish RDF.

@wdhertog depends your use case for merging the foaf files, you could load both into an rdf tool and the save again but might be ugly

Nigel says data.gov.uk will be publicly available from Jan 2010. Each gov department has timetable to add rdf to datasets and publish them

@delineator you're over-reacting to the RDF on that list; most rdf hackers there are hands-on open data people, rdf is their means to an end

Dump a MySQL database & look at the resulting files. It's clear, but clunky & not portable. What about Oracle? MS-SQL? Now think RDF/SPARQL

@dret it'd be a lot easier if there was a "blessed" XML that roundtripped and worked with the XML toolchain. Still RDF/XML after a ~decade?
