CSS-Tricks Forums • View topic - Fixed position header hiding headings
I've been playing around with a layout with a fixed position header. Everything is working nicely except for one thing. When one visits http://example.com/test.html#id, one does not see the element in question because it is hidden by the header.

You can now add the header and footer using position:absolute; with a suitable z-index such that it appears over the content div. When the content is scrolled it will disappear under the header / footer.
