I hate hate HATE how you can't cmd+W (close) the Properties pane (of an image ect) in firefox, really kills me & it makes the alert noise

@bargainbriana is it in a web browser? if firefox, then tools -> addons. if on comp itself, try opening the related program, finding options

latest Firefox seems to be a real pig on Windows 7 machines that I've run it on.
