Servers run just fine on wordpress - you just don't want them to claim later that it's your WordPress installation slowing your site down.

Ask your webhost before signing with them how their servers run with wordpress installed - then note the answer, date & name of contact!

Zooos.com is pretty cool. Basically OpenOffice, without having to install it. It runs off their servers. Neat
