Welcome. You can call me Wanda.

I started "Well-heeled: twentysomething life & money" in April 2006 after realizing that I can't stay in the warm financial cocoon of college forever and need to get in touch with my inner money maker/manager.

I am a soon-to-be college graduate with almost $20,000 in student loan (but the good news is that it's interest-free). My financial virtues include funding a Roth IRA, not carrying a balance on my credit card, and reading personal finance blogs (of course!). My financial vices include frequent trips to restaurants and Starbucks and a love for BMWs (which I am resisting successfully… for now). I also love Whole Foods' pre-cut fresh fruits that cost $3 for one little cup.

My tagline, "Going from zero to one hundred (thousand)" refers to my goal of amassing a $100,000 investment portfolio by the end of 2009. Watch me get it done. (Famous last words, right?)
