The Colour of Hope is a British Charity working to reduce poverty, advance education and promote employment amongst disadvantaged people in Peru. We are currently providing aid to young people leaving care homes in Lima, the capital of Peru. Most of these young people have previously lived on the streets and still bear the marks of extreme poverty, drug addiction and abuse. Once they grow up, they're forced to leave their care homes, find work and start supporting themselves, but the troubles they have suffered, lack of family support and insufficient funds make this almost impossible. Many end up right back where they started - on the streets. The Colour of Hope supports these disadvantaged and marginalized young people as they leave their homes. We help them to become part of their community and to find dignified work; we give them a chance for change.
