I'm "forty something". Not in denial exactly, but reluctant. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 32. I spend many years angry at God, running from Him and tried to deny His existence. Through the loving witness walked out in the daily life of my neighbors the Bocks I saw a clear picture of God...who loves me. Thank you, I am eternally grateful. I am still single, not by choice. It remains my daily prayer that I will marry. So if you are my Prince Charming, you are a wee bit late. All will be forgiven when you finally appear. I am conservative in my politics, but a former liberal. I even campaigned for Jimmy Carter and I rue that day. Like an ex-smoker who is death on smoking, I find liberal, leftist thinking while good intentioned, ultimately flawed. Been there, done that. I know how the left thinks.
