I am a writer who works as a lawyer in my spare time. My first genre is poetry, but I am currently working on my first book, a memoir about growing up black, female, and southern during the civil rights era. I believe in laughter, family, and friends, in no particular order. I worry that humankind is far too wrapped up in judging others. I worry that good people are are too quick to turn away from injustice. I worry that injustice may triump because we refuse to act. However, I also have hope and that's waht keeps me going.
