Hi Rebecca, I appreciate your visitng my music blog and hope you return to share my love of oldies. I love the Domestic Goddess Blog! It has some great things and I have added the site to my personal bookmarks to remind me to make regular visits. Now I am not too sure about the beekeeping (LOL).I will check that one out later.

Rebecca, Are you from Nova Scotia or close by the region? I have never been to see my grandfather's home in Nova Scotia or Quebec-another area he lived in before immigrating to the US. I am surprised that African honey bees could survive the cold of the Canadian artic blast! Hope all is going well and thanks for the info. dean

Hi Rebecca, Thanks for joining my community. I really liked your blogs and I've passed your blog along to a beekeeper friend here in town. Let me know if you ever have specific questions I can answer . . . be well! -Zack

Rebecca, My grandfather grew up in Nova Scotia. I completely understand cold weather and what grows and what does not grow well. I would love to hear your tips if any on frost, the best store brand honey, and your thoughts on the notorious african killer bees. Thanks! dean

Hi Rebecca, I like your blog and I have 3 questions: 1. Is it possible to cross pollinate olive trees through bees or just by grafting branches? 2. Is it possible to cross pollinate grape varietals to produce a subtle change in a grape characteristic like chardonnay? 3. Do you have any suggestions on "canning" that would apply to olives or fruits ? Thanks! dean http://deansguide.wordpress.com
