No doubt youalso know about the history of the philippines. It was controlled by.. using.. to control the people! it ended up a mess, that in the 1900 senator beveridge of the US calls filipinos children..not capable of sel-rule! and it is up to date. so sad. Maybe i am just dreaming afterall, about this renewables. there are plenty of resources but no financial capability of indigenouse people to... foreigners come, requires the worldbank to raise rates, so they can have a very good rate of return for their investments...frying the filipinos in their own lard. that is simply saying it. The philippines dreamt of having one nuclear plant in the 80's. politics, not flaw in technology did it in. Shame, few people for the distress of lot! not a single watt produced. we are still paying for the interest (dont think of the principal). Opps, sorry obout pouring out the beans. :) Got to return to my (religious) beliefs to prevent me from frying, too. Do you believe in God? Hello! well, i tried to articulate a bit and welcome! oh no, don't feel like you are preaching..no pardon required. (On Religion, I'm putting this inside a pharenthesis, nice topic but i dont have much about it, :) the philippines is the most religious country east!. i belong to a sect but am trying not to be religious! we say it's relation, not religion, following the teachings of Jesus as guide on values, morals and ethics. But still, lot (filipinos) are more ego-centric. maybe its poverty or fruit of too much oppression, or 300 hundred years of colonization....name it. I am hoping we could say more "expect less, give a lot, open yourself to love...." and really do, or can do, it!) there, that ends it. Gardening! the time i saw your garden pictures, made me wishy! but then i thought about the many typhoons (gusty winds and rain, but not like a hurricane) that visits every year, puts everything to ruin, well, but have to start if one wants to anyway!. Its also getting colder here everyday, until middle of january when it coldest. sometimes frost ruins the leafy vegetable plants in northern part of province. but no snow. Otherwise! quite busy with report preparations - pre-feasibility- on potential sites for hydro development - done two complex sites so far, working on third site. Some position paper for a friend's friend required by environmental agency because did buldozing activities in an environmentally critical area, have to prepare initial environmental assesment and mitigation plans for him too, for the agency to apprve and give belated ECC. Wishing (wishy again) one of those potentials gets realized by the company :).
