I have a background of communication design, business management, and media psychology. I am director of the Media Psychology Research Center and also a partner at Rutledge Capital, LLC. I began my career founding Brown Design Studio specializing in identity development and media for financial and educational institutions.

I am trained as a therapist and do consulting and coaching in effective communication skills, lifestyle management, and parenting in addition to research interviewing and focus groups.

I received a BA from Pomona College in Studio Art, an MBA from the Drucker School of Business at Claremont Graduate University in Finance and Accounting, and a Masters degree in Media Psychology from Fielding Graduate University, where I will complete my PhD this year.

My research interests focus on global media and positive psychology in media development.
