Obert Madondo is a Zimbabwe-born writer, journalist, blogger, activist, international development administrator, global citizen and founder of the Global Diversity Post. He lives in Toronto.

Before fleeing Robert Mugabe's regime in Zimbabwe in 2000, Obert worked as a political organizer, speechwriter and personal assistant to Margaret Dongo, Zimbabwe’s first post-independence female independent Member of Parliament.

Obert has been interviewed by the Toronto Star newspaper, and appeared several times on CBC and I-Channel, a Canada's national broadcaster and cable channel, respectively.

Obert's opinion and analysis on Zimbabwe has appeared in Ottawa Citizen newspapers (Canada), The Zimbabwe Independent newspapers (Zimbabwe), The Jamaica Observer (Jamaica), NewZimbabwe.com, AfricaFiles.org and GroundReport.
