I am a partner at Spigthoff Attorneys at Law & Tax Advisers. I graduated from the VU University (Amsterdam) in 1989 (both civil and notarial law). I am an attorney as from 1989 and admitted to both the Netherlands Antilles and the Amsterdam bar.
I practice primarily in the areas of corporate law, securities law, e-commerce and liti¬ga¬tion, and I am the (co-)author of many articles and several books on various aspects of Dutch and Netherlands Antilles law.
More in particular, I am the author of the leading legal text book on Netherlands Antilles and Aruba corporate law (2nd edition 2006; 340 pages) as well as the author of ‘Toezicht trust¬kantoren in Nederland’ (Supervision on trust offices in the Netherlands; 1st edition 2004; 144 pages), both in Dutch only.
