I'm 23 going on 40. I'm married to an AMAZING man. He is a Cpl. in the Marine Corps who was injured in Iraq in 2006 by an IED. His injuries include amputation of the lower left leg, Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Missing lat muscle, Sleep apnea, and a lot of scars. We are still in the DC area while he recovers from his injuries. It has been rough, yet has made us stronger as individuals and as a couple. I have seen and experienced things some people do not experience in a lifetime and I fully expect to experience so much more. I'm excited about the future and ready to put the past in it's place. We are hoping he will medically retire soon and we will be able to move on and live a "normal life" like everyone else!
