Founded in St. Louis, MO by alumni of elite universities, the company was created to provide an alternative to the impersonal "cookie cutter" services offered by big-name tutoring companies. The founders knew that such companies not only often failed to motivate students; they also could be as out-of-date as they were expensive. In response, the founders drew on their recent experience as successful students to develop an innovative and highly effective new tutoring model. The company quickly experienced tremendous success and expanded to include offices in St. Louis,Phoenix, Houston, Chicago, and Tucson.
