I started this blog at mgroves.com because I wanted an outlet, a journal, a record of things that I found interesting, entertaining, and notable. It's not a sports blog, but I write about interesting things in sports (mostly baseball). It's not a political blog, but I was raised very politically aware, so my ridiculous half-conservative, half-libertarian views seep out occasionally. Everything else is just general nerdy stuff: programming, gaming, TV and movies, etc.

I was born in Columbus in 1980, but grew up about 40 minutes away in Lancaster, Ohio. I currently live in Columbus and I'm employed by The Ohio State University as a Web Developer and I love my job. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Ohio University and I'm currently enrolled in the part-time MBA program at the OSU Fisher College of Business. I have a wife of more than 3 years, Ali, and a cat named Friday. I'm a baseball fan (Cincinnati Reds), a homeowner, and a nerd. My political views are very conserv
