A transplanted New Englander, Liesel shed her Yankee ingenuity and stand-offish ways to move to the Big Apple where the clam chowder is red.

After fine-tuning her latent misanthropism in the city she decided to start a family. This went so well that she declared herself finished with that whole child-bearing thing.

One thing led to another, and every year the rent got higher until one day in 2002 Liesel and her husband packed up wee Daniel and moved to New Jersey where they could rent an apartment at Brooklyn's 1997 prices.

Life is good, the therapists are aplenty and she lives equidistant from two Ikea stores, which in and of itself was reason enough to move.
