chool / Work Affiliation Averill High School @ Good Will-Hinckley About Me: I am a retired Coast Guard Warrant Officer (1996) and have dedicated my life since then to working with kids. I am a Special Education teacher who teaches English and co-teaches History at a small private school that serves students who have not been successful in the public school system. During this school year, I found that I was not reaching my students as well as I should and wanted to make things better for them, so I started looking into "stuff" I could do to help them more and found Web2.0. The technology coordinator at school (I believe he is getting tired of seeing me come around, but I am becoming a technology in the classroom convert. What totally convinced me was the excitement I saw in an 18 year old student who said "Mr. Shaw I've never sent an Email before, this is so cool." So I believe that I am headed in the right direction after this "aha" moment. Oh yeah some of the things I like to do outs
