My name is Chet Simpson and I have been a member of the Yahoo! community for close to a decade. Professionally I am a systems architect and software developer and have spent the last 25 years writing applications for a variety of computing platforms including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and several embedded systems/devices.

Although I have traveled extensively over the years I have spent the majority of my life in the Southwestern region of the United States. I currently live in a quiet suburb not far from Phoenix Arizona and although the summers may be extremely hot I can't imagine living anywhere else.

I have a considerable number of interests including drag racing, ancient Egyptian studies, and volunteer animal rescue (as time permits). I am a staunch advocate of individual privacy and believe that EVERY persons right to privacy should not only be guaranteed but honored as well.
