How to summarize yourself in 1,000 characters! Well, if I hadn’t written that sentence, I’d be better off! Rapidly, I’m 6'6, 44, English, have lived in the US for 23 years, the last 5 in Hollywood, and have a brilliant, beautiful life-partner, a professor at UCLA

Although I write for a living (computer code), I always hoped to do “real writing” from experience. That opportunity came from being diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2006, after a brush with insanity. At one point, I seriously believed I’d be a combination gay superstar / epochal intellectual / latter day Messiah. Obviously, I became none of those, but I did survive the inevitable crash to tell the tale.

Wow! Seemed to get through that quicker than expected – just 771 characters. Not counting this sentence. I guess I’d better squeeze in a mention of my book, Broken Whole: a California tale of Craziness, Creativity and Chaos, to be published by Chipmunka Press in 2010. I had slightly more space to talk about myself there!
