I'm a 43-year-old father of two, a spouse, painter, photographer, former historian, and denizen of Greenwich Village in New York City. Having spent the last 8 years in Manhattan, the previous ten in beautiful but philistine East Tennessee and everything before that in Virginia, I've acquired a weird perspective that is at various times: extremely liberal, anti-southern, pro-southern, anti-suburbia, pro-NYC, anti-NYC, pro-socialist, Anglophilic, nostalgic, long-winded, anti-Republican, spiritual . . . and on occasion just ornery.
