I was born in Africa, South Africa. Came to the US via the UK – but I am a born and bred South African. And through it all I have always been an activist of some sort - student activist, trade unionist, multilateral trade negotiator, campaigner and more. And it has been a ride. Africa has always been at the center of my life - it's in my bones and in my blood. And it hasn't always been easy. But more about this journey, and the people and places that go with it, in my blog.
