Alexander is a serial entrepreneur with more than a decade of startup experience. In addition to authoring the Texas Startup Blog, Alexander is the CEO of Big in Japan, a social software company focused on the integration of various Web 2.0 technologies. In 2007 Alexander sold Fancast to Comcast Interactive. Previously, he served as CEO of Architel, a provider of outsourced information technology services. Prior to that, he was founder and CEO of LayerOne, a telecommunications infrastructure company he started in the late 1990’s.

Alexander has been involved in several organizations including the Entrepreneurs Foundation of North Texas (EFNT), the Young Entrepreneurs Organization (YEO), the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), IEEE, The Open Management Consortium, DFW Entrepreneur Network, OnStartups, Start-Up Phase Forum and Startup Ventures Links.
