8307 granite ct, Dexter, you say is for sale at $493,000, you also say it sold on july 7th 2008, which is it?
It is not in the MLS for sale. There was a sheriff''s sale in January. Can't tell you anything else. Maybe one of the Ann Arbor Realtors will chime in.

Builder says that they will purchase my old home, if we buy there new home? Is this normal?
The builder will typically offer you a price that allows them to at least break even on reselling. If you owe more than the house is worth then the builder will not buy it. Do you have a buyer's agent? You need to carefully review the contract...
