I find the modern world fascinating and can think of no planet I'd rather live on or species I'd rather live among. Many things perplex me, though. I don't understand why celebrity shopping trips are a source of fascination and the topic of social evolution provokes yawns. I don't understand why we don't do more to encourage social invention along with technology.
