I am an artist, formerly living in Central Florida, now living in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a single dad, on my way to being a married dad.

My work is a process of exploration, which might explain why it's all over the map. While I lean towards landscapes, I love portraits and still life. The artists I admire range from Rembrandt to Waterhouse to Leipke to Twombly and Freud, which also helps explain the range in my work. My style tends to lean towards Post Impressionism or realism as the majority of my work is from photographs I've taken.

Part of the painting process sometimes involves images I've taken from my car, often while still going 60. The idea that we experience our world through the windows of moving vehicles has always intrigued me. Not exactly an original idea. I was in Arizona, watching the red rocks of Sedona slide by, taking pictures through the windshield, and the ridiculousness of it all struck me. My Moving Images series is an extension of this.
