I am a critical rational minded individual. I think the State should exist to serve the citizen and not vice versa. Whilst I accept there are some functions probably more effectively carried out by the State than other means, I think these should be kept to a minimum, as should taxation. I believe we should be free to live as we will, provided we do not directly harm others. The state is not our parent and does not know better than the informed citizen.
