Sometime in 2005, 2 guys were sitting having coffee discussing the need for a website for South Africans to use (and which wouldn't exclude the rest of the world), which would let them get answers to questions related to cell phones.

There is a lot of information on cell phones and cell phone networks and cell phone contracts in South Africa, and it's getting worse by the day.

The initial objective was for people to post questions or email questions to us, and we would give them the answers.

Luckily, one of us, Eran, was a cell phone guru, who was obsessed with finding out every possible thing he could about every cell phone on the market. And the other one, Eric, knew how to set up the Internet website.

And so MobileQandA was born.
