Jonathan Fryer is a freelance writer, lecturer and broadcaster who is a familiar voice to listeners to the BBC's "From Our Own Correspondent". He has reported from or travelled in around 160 countries and is the author of a dozen non-fiction books, including biographies of Oscar Wilde, Dylan Thomas and Ronald Firbank. He lectures part-time at London University's School of Oriental Studies (SOAS). An active Liberal Democrat, Jonathan is Chairman of Liberal International Britsh Group and Vice-Chairman of London Region LibDems.
