Where to start: Living in China; been here for the last three years. It's a surreal experience, to say the least. Not like a different country, but a different planet. But enjoying it.

In the "5 things you don't know about me" meme style:

1) Held marketing and sales positions at Microsoft, Oracle, Samsung.

2) Highest-ranking foreigner (laowei) in the largest Western-focused, China-based IT outsourcing firm (during my tenure the Company raised $30 million in a Series B with Sequoia taking the lead, but I had nothing to do with the round).

3) Raised in Los Angeles -- really, Los Angeles. Not the suburbs. West Hollywood. Microsoft recruited me to their Bay area/Silicon Valley campus in 1997. Lived through the bubble and burst in Silicon Valley holding jobs with Microsoft (Manager, New Markets), Oracle (Director, E-Business) and finally with the META Group (acquired by Gartner; VP, E-Business Strategies).
