A friend of mine, ROberheide here on MyBlogLog, had been pestering me to start blogging midway through 2006. At first, I wasn't interested, because I didn't think I had anything meaningful to share. Then it hit me one night while I was working on my 1939 Cape Cod home: why not write about the various projects I embark on while rehabbing this treasure trove of fun? First and foremost I am not a professional home remodeler, contractor, carpenter, etc. Rather, I'm someone who enjoys home repair, woodworking, and taking on new challenges, which this house provides plenty. With that, I've combined my love of photography and my knack for writing and started OldHomeBlog.com. Follow along as I share what I learn about taking care of an old home.
