The conclusion is
clearly false (it's
contradictory).
Assumption 1
is clearly true
(I'm convinced,
anyway). So
assumption 2 must
be
the one that is
incorrect. So the
Liar paradox, when
analyzed,
leads to the
conclusion (this is
basically Tarski's
theorem on

of truth) that the

strings
that are not true
