This sampler is more than 400 years old! It’s in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and it was stitched to commemorate the birth of a child. Further information can be found on the museum website, linked below....

There isn’t much out there for knitters (at least not much that I like) when it comes to pretty patterns for Valentine’s Day garments. This one from the Vogue Stitch Library has a 10 row, 15 stitch repeat, and would work for sock cuffs,...
